The Story of the Southern Yacht Club   A touching 5-minute story of the 2nd oldest yacht club in the United States - a New Orleans mainstay that in recent years rose from the ashes of Hurricane Katrina. 75th Vineyard Race - The Stamford Yacht Club   This 15-minute movie brings together several sailors recalling their stories from the race, including Gary Jobson's experience racing the Vineyard with Ted Turner, and the 2006 race when Hurricane Ernesto became a last-minute player in the competition. A Contemporary History of Eastern Yacht Club   Aurae Vela Vocant - "The Winds Call to the Sails". Yachting in America was dynamic in 1870 when the first defense of the America's Cup took place in New York Harbor. That was the year when 12 yachtsmen founded the Eastern Yacht Club. Paul Cayard's El Toro   This 7-minute segment from Episode 2 of "America's Cup: Uncovered" tells the story of America's Cup veteran and 2011 National Sailing Hall of Famer Paul Cayard and his father Pierre, who sought out to find and restore the El Toro dinghy that began Paul's sailing career more than 40 years ago. American Women In Sailing Project   A collection of stories - including film & video - to celebrate the achievements of American Women in Sailing.The Project will include several videos from the mid-90s featuring the first All-Women America's Cup racing team of America3. BPYC-75: The Biddeford Yacht Club   A simply endearing look at the beginnings, trials and tributes of a sailing club built by ten brothers on its 75th anniversary. Biddeford Pool Yacht Club is a small, 100-family club on Saco Bay about 20 miles south of Portland, Maine. BPYC's story mirrors those of scores of other clubs across the nation, and indeed of the history of recreational sailing in America Sandbagger Documentary - Presented by Bull & Bear Sailing   Historic, fast and fun! Sandbaggers were used as work boats in the 1860s and became one of the first sailboats used for racing in the United States. Henry Rodgers Ship Model Collection - U.S. Naval Academy Museum   See the remarkable details of the Henry Rodgers Ship Model Collection, which includes 108 models of sailing ships and boats dating from 1650 to 1850, many scale models built for British Admiralty. In 1935, Colonel Henry Huddleston Rodgers bequeathed this collection to the U.S. Naval Academy. Using cameras typically employed in medicine, the video uncovers intricate details of below-decks portions of the ships - sights not seen since these antiques were built.
