WHAT
A celebration of the City of Annapolis showcasing the services, opportunities and diversity of our historic community.
The City of Annapolis, in cooperation with the National Sailing Center & Hall of Fame, is seeking public agencies, cultural institutions, sports associations, service organizations, educational institutions, environmental groups, neighborhood associates, sailing groups and other non-profits to participate.
“Too often, the excellent nonprofit organizations that serve our City operate sight unseen. This City Fair offers us a chance to showcase them. Through nonprofit participation in the City Fair, our residents and visitors can learn more about the services offered and the organizations participating can attract needed volunteers to their programs.”
- Joshua J. Cohen, Mayor, City of Annapolis
“The NSHOF is pleased to join with the Mayor to host an event at City Dock which will celebrate who we are and what we do.”
- Gary Jobson, NSHOF President

Non-profits will be able to fund-raise as permitted by City Code. No sales of merchandise, food, or beverages will be permitted.
City Code requires those that will solicit donations during the City Fair to receive a solicitors license from the City Clerk's office. Each non-profit will need to complete the application (the fee will be paid for you) and they will be able to request and receive donations throughout the event. The solicitors application form is available online and includes the specific code:
http://www.annapolis.gov/Government/Departments/CityClerk/forms/SolictAp.pdf
Send all completed forms to sandy.sloan@nshof.org or mail to:
National Sailing Center & Hall of Fame
69 Prince George Street
Annapolis, MD 21041
The deadline for solicitors license applications is April 11, 2014.
The solicitor's license is NOT a vendors permit to sell goods. However, a donation that allows for a gift (like NPR campaigns) is allowed.
Michelle LeFurge has offered to assist your non-profit if you wish to solicit donations during the City Fair. She can be reached at 410-263-7996 or by email at mmlefurge@annapolis.gov.
Groups must bring their own tent, tables and chairs. Any vessels exhibiting must provide their own dock lines & fenders.
