Forwarded from the National Sailing Hall of Fame Here we go… Big day today. I’m just as tired as I was a few days ago, but we are getting closer to the end in several of the 11 events, so the adrenal gland is working over time. When I am around the athletes, it’s all about the “cool and calm” thing. But inside I am a churning stew of nerves, excitement, and stress. I am so much more at ease when I am doing the racing. But when I am watching someone else race, someone that I have spent the last four years cheering for and supporting, it’s intensely nerve wracking.
